The Tallest Man on Earth

   Not the world record holder but instead a folk singer from Dalarna, Sweden. Kristian Matsson aka The Tallest Man on Earth stands out in genre of modern mediocrity, and its not just his strangely unique voice that does it.
    His songs and his guitar burst through an arguably faceless generation of solo folk singers. Easily has become one of my favourite artist of all time. Ok, There are some immediate and obvious comparisons that can be made but after familiarizing yourself with a few tracks he'll sound different that Dylan, I promise.
Raspy, whiny voices over acoustic guitar is not something new but the passion that The Tallest Man on Earth plays with might be, as it has become a rare quality.

After obsessing myself with his music I waited a long time for a new song. Now that its here and he has new album (The Wild Hunt) out in April... I am complete.

Since meeting each other VIA the internet, Mikey Rocks and Chuck English of 'The Cool Kids' have only released one solid EP entitled 'The Bake Sale' in 2008. Well, actually they've released some mixtapes online, but this album is absolute gold. With a simple yet heavy set of beats, the sound is classic old school brought back to life. The lyrics are easy, but exceed at awesomeness. According to the internet, they will be releasing a new album this year. But for now it is strongly recommended that you hear this. You'll like it, trust cake and not yourself.
