Film Review: Get Him To The Greek

Russell Brand returns as his out of control rocker character, Aldous Snow from Forgetting Sarah Marshall. The film is based around Jonah Hill's character, who works for a music promotion business, as he tries to make his way up in the company by signing Aldous Snow from the infamous rock band, Infinite Sorrow, for a one time reunion concert at the Greek Theatre in San Fran. That's all you need to know.

I found this movie to be exactly what I expected.... fuckin hilarious. If you liked Forgetting Sarah, you will love this, either equally or more. This film isn't AS romantic as FSM, but keeps you guessing what will happen next. That's the big thing i find with Apatow movies; he always seems to throw in random changes or just weird/funny ideas/happenings. It's a style that keeps comedy fresh. The film is directed by the same guy who did FSM and is produced by Jason Segel, which is also awesome because you know its quality comedy writing. I would strongly suggest you see this film if you are a comedy fan. Jonah Hill is at the top of his game as is Russell Brand. Tons of awesome characters and golden one liners. It's a great spin-off for sure, so check it out and lemme know what ya think...

Oh also, here's the lowdown on what Segel is up to these days..... its pretty relevant if you have seen FSM.
